Minutes of the Far North Coast Swimming Association Inc.
General Meeting
held at the Alstonville Bowling Club
on Sunday 10th November 2002
Meeting opened at 10.00am.
Present:
Chris Mills (Lismore), Graham Canning (Lismore), David Bradwell (Casino),
Narelle Anderton (Mullumbimby), John Smits (Alstonville), Lin
Johnson (Alstonville), David Jupe (Ballina Indoor), L Simpson (Byron
Bay), Sue Grover (Kingscliff), Jeff Gambin (Kingscliff), H. George, Ken Malcolm (Lismore Indoor).
Apologies:
Glen Moriarty (Alstonville), Trish Barnes (Kingscliff),
Twin Towns Club.
Minutes of Previous Meeting:
The minutes of the previous
meeting were read by Chris Mills.
Moved Graham Canning - Seconded John Smits
That the minutes be accepted as read - Carried
Business Arising:
FNC Computer: G Canning reported that the new FNC laptop computer and printer had been purchased and had worked well at the FNC Sprint Carnival.
Timekeeper Pads: J Smits reported that new pads had been printed.
Meet Manager: L Johnson reported that the first batch of Meet Manager software had arrived and most had been distributed to the purchasing clubs.
Winter Development Camp: Narelle Anderton and Graham Lees were thanked for the work they had done to organise the camp. All reports indicate that it was a very worthwhile event.
Correspondence:
The list of correspondence was presented by Chris Mills.
General Business:
(i) Winter Sprint Carnival at Alstonville Pool - general consensus that it was a fun event - format of mixed sex races well received.
(ii) Ballina Indoor will host the FNC Championship Carnival No1 at Ballina Memorial Pool on February 8.
(iii) Ballina Memorial declined to host the FNC Championship Carnival No2. Lismore Swim Team will host this one subject to ratification at their next club meeting.
(iv) David Bradwell and Chris Mills were confirmed as signatories on the FNC cheque account.
(v) John Smits to check the supply of ribbons for the Non Champ Carnival and medals for the Relay Carnival.
(vi) Due to the problem of not having a FNC secretary and the non-attendance at meetings by some clubs, Lin Johnson agreed to act as Liaison Officer and keep clubs informed of decisions and activities in the district.
Meeting closed at 11.50am
Next meeting Sunday 15th December 2002 at the Alstonville Bowling Club commencing at 10am. All clubs invited to attend.
