Minutes of the Far North Coast Swimming Association Inc.

General Meeting

held at the Alstonville Bowling Club

on Sunday 15th September 2002

Meeting opened at 10.00am.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Chris Mills.

That the minutes be accepted as read - Carried

Business Arising:

FNC Computer: G Canning indicated that the current FNC computer was malfunctioning and was too old and slow to run the new Windows version of Meet Manager. The dot matrix printer was also old and temperamental.

That a new laptop computer and new printer be purchased for use at FNCSA carnivals - Carried

Meet Manager: Several clubs have already indicated they wish to purchase the Meet Manager program using the $200 FNC subsidy.

Winter Development Camp: Narelle Anderton reported on the preparations for the camp. Each swimmer is to receive a letter outlining the requirements.
Craig Oliver, NSW Swimming Development Officer, will be visiting the FNC district to attend the camp and also to visit clubs.

Correspondence:
The list of correspondence was presented by Chris Mills.

General Business: Club roundup

(i) Kyogle sign on soon, the club will be up and running

(ii) Byon Bay will be hosting the FNC Non Championship Carnival No1 at Mullumbimby Pool on November 23.

(iii) Alstonville - FNC time keeper pads - where are they? Do we need more?

(iv) Ballina Memorial meeting soon to start the season

(v) Casino public liability and insurance questions

(vi) Kingscliff exec positions not filled, carnival a goer, child protection forms

Meeting closed at 12.10pm

Next meeting Sunday 10th November 2002 at the Alstonville Bowling Club commencing at 10am. All clubs invited to attend.
