- Management of small clubs
- Need a Technical Committee – suggestion that a seminar be run for timekeepers, judges, etc. because we need more qualified officials. It is recommended that the seminar be run before the new summer season. For more information, contact Margaret Harding.
- Survey members of clubs for those interested in becoming qualified officials
- Country Regional carnivals for 2003 – Cowra, Goulburn, Gunnedah
- The Far North Coast has been allocated a Country Regional carnival in 2006

Request to clubs for a voluntary donation.
- Motion
– That FNC Swimming should introduce a fee for the referee ($100), chief timekeeper ($50), starter ($50) and recorder ($50) for all carnivals that require these services.
The money is to be paid to FNC to meet the expenses of these volunteers.
The sponsoring club is liable for this amount

- Clubs should have paid club affiliation fees to N.S.W. Swimming by 1/04/03
- Swimmer registrations are due 1/10/03
- (NB: left over cards need to be returned by 15/10/03)
- FNC Affiliation fees of $70 and swimmer registration fee of $3 are due on 1/10/03

- Member Protection Policy (MPP)
- Introduced 1/06/03
- Posters and brochures were issued to clubs
- Developed by Australian Swimming (ASI)
- It is necessary to read a copy of the policy (the policy is arduous reading, but persevere!)
- Summary of what clubs need to do and police check (PC)
- PC is a mandatory screening, in addition to the Prohibited Persons Form.
- The employee applies for the PC ($36) and it is valid for 3 years
- Implementation of a procedure for claim
- Explanation of harassment
- Member Protection Officer (MPO)
- This requires a 2-day training course
- The MPO for N.S.W. Swimming is Brett Lovegrove
- All clubs are to meet the requirements of the MPP by 1/12/03
- 3 fact sheets
- Registration by disc (N.S.W. is building up a data base)
- Non-swimmers – need date of birth
- 2 fact sheets on Meet Manager, etc – needed to submit entries
- Entries may be by email or post
- Entries close 5:00pm Monday
- Qualifying times – require referee and starter details sent to NSW Swimming
